Tokhu Emong Celebrations in Delhi

Kyong Forum Delhi had a wonderful celebration of Tokhu Emong under the theme ‘Senjumta’.  Rev. Dr.Tsanso, pastor of the Lotha Christian fellowship Delhi, expressed in evocative words the essence of the festival. He said, ‘Tokhu Emong is a day of joy, thanksgiving, sharing, reconciliation and strengthening relationships. However, the most impressive aspect of this festival is that past rancour is forgiven and new ties and bonds of closer intimacy are forged’.

Footprints 2009

The environment as we all know is the most talked about subject these days and, rightly so. We as a specie have done unimaginable damage to it and it’s about time that we tried to get the balance back. This was exactly the motive behind SIMI’s (Symbiosis Institute of Media & Communication) seminar ‘Footprints’ which was held in Shillong on 21st November for the first time. The first segment titled the ‘Green Battle’ emphasised on the various aspects of the environment and more so, on the various efforts of conservation of forests and its wildlife in the Northeast.
