Manipur Pradesh Trinamool Congress to give details to Mamta about the State's condition

Manipur Pradesh Trinamool Congress is all set to take up the issue regarding the prevailing situation of Manipur in the ongoing Parliament Session. Disclosing this to the media on Tuesday, a team led by M. Tombi, working president of the state party unit along with its general secretary Lien Gangte will head for New Delhi to give details about the prevailing condition faced by the public to Union minister Mamata Banerjee.
Former Manipur chief minister and Trinamool Congress leader R.K. Dorendro who spoke to the media said that among others the grievances and plights of the people of Manipur will be discussed at length in a holistic manner at the proposed Delhi meeting so that the party puts forth the same in the ongoing Parliament Session.
Issues such as the Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) repeal, artificial scarcity of essential items and price rise, protection of national highways and present law and order problems will take the centre stage during the proposed meeting with Central leaders of the party, Dorendro disclosed.
Voices of 27 lakhs people of Manipur need to be heard in the Parliament and their plights need to be redressed with urgency, Dorendro asserted. He went on to say that the tentacles of insurgency  has penetrated so much  that it has created law and order problem as many activities of kidnapping for ransom, child recruitments and threats have been continuing which need long term solution.
Dorendro pointed out that it is the job of the government to process or to bring solution regarding the underground problems by bringing them at the negotiating table. He also cited that the media coverage of peoples' plights of Manipur by the national media is negligible. Dorendro assured that the Trinamool Congress party team will definitely meet leading national dailies including National Press Council of India to highlight the prevailing condition of Manipur in-depth.
